About Brian Eagen
I was born into a family that spends a ton of time exploring the outdoors. As I grew up, I nurtured that love through backpacking, rock climbing, kayaking, and mountaineering. Along the way, I learned that the most satisfaction I get while enjoying the outdoors was teaching. Outdoor Blueprint is all about sharing that love of the outdoors in an approachable, engaging, and jargon-free way.
I currently work as an outdoor education instructor throughout California and Washington. I’ve received training from a number of spectacular organizations and people, including NOLS and Outward Bound instructors, the American Mountain Guides Association (where I’m certified as a Single Pitch Instructor), and the Wilderness Medicine Institute (where I’m certified as a Wilderness First Responder).
